Safety Reflections

 PPE – It’s Personal

PPE - Be SAFE

As Thanksgiving leads us into the holiday season, we all have the opportunity to reflect on the work we perform to provide for our families.

Whether we are at home or working during the holidays, our families rely on us to work safely so that we are able to enjoy our off duty time with them.

While considering this Safety Reflection, please take a minute to consider what you place at risk when you do not wear your (Personal Protection Equipment) PPE.

Please wear your PPE and work safely to ensure you enjoy a happy and healthy holiday season with your family.

Fatigued Driving – Be Alert

Drive Safely 2 Websized

In continuing Craig Energy’s “Safety Reflections” HSE awareness campaign we are pleased to present our current topic “Fatigued Driving”. This progression has been generated by the contributions of Craig Energy employees and the core of valued lessons learned.

It’s mid-October and the seasons are changing as we move closer to resetting the clocks to standard daylight time. We should take this opportunity to retune our focus on avoiding fatigued driving.

Driving is one of the greatest potential hazards we all face every day with over 1,550 fatalities and 71,000 injuries occurring annually as a result of fatigued driving.

We encounter many items beyond our control while driving. However, ensuring we have adequate rest prior to getting behind the wheel is one items we must control. This rest will help each driver remain alert and respond to unexpected events during driving activities.

While considering this Safety Reflection, please take a minute to consider what you have at risk while behind the wheel. In addition to your safety, as a driver, you must also care for the wellbeing of your passengers and other people on the roadways.

Please avoid fatigued driving.

I am proud to introduce Craig Energy’s “Safety Reflections”, a HSE awareness campaign to promote our safety culture by increasing each employee’s personal focus on behaviors and consequences for both on and off-the-job activities.

Safety and working as a team with our employees and customers are at the foundation of our operations. This campaign has been created by the contributions of Craig Energy employees and the core of valued lessons learned.

Providing a simple yet robust combination of visual and script communications, this progression is just one example of how we maintain active safety conversations from the field to the boardroom. Safety Reflections afford the reader remarkable visualizations as to why safety is foundationally important to Craig Energy, our employees, their families and our customers.

In an effort to help meet our goal of bringing no harm to our employees or the public, we are pleased to share this “Distracted Driving” campaign as a part of our Safety Reflections.

In today’s world we feel the inherent need to obtain or share information immediately. Performing this simple yet distracting task while driving can lead to severe incidents.

Regardless of fault, the consequences of injuries last forever and affect many more people than those directly involved.

While considering this Safety Reflection, please take a minute to consider what you have at risk while behind the wheel. It is your responsibility to control your behaviors while driving.

Your family trusts you to avoid Distracted Driving.
