Mr. Frommer is President and Chief Executive Officer at Great Western Oil and Gas Company. Mr. Frommer has worked within organizations such as Samson Resources Company and HS Resources. He previously served as Senior Vice President in the Rocky Mountain division at Samson Resources Company, building and developing a team and an organization from a four man startup with an initial $200 million acquisition into a $4 billion asset that was part of the largest private equity oil and gas buyout by KKR. Mr. Frommer holds a BS in Geology from New York State University and has completed executive programs through the SMU Cox School of Business.
Mr. Hallinan is a Vice President of J2 Partners and was previously an Associate with Kachi Partners, a private equity firm focusing in the lower middle market. He has also held analytical and operational roles at Paragon Dynamics and Lennar. Mr. Hallinan has served as interim chief financial officer of several of portfolio companies, driving financial performance and accountability in situations ranging from operational and financial turnarounds to unprecedented growth. In addition to Craig Energy, he serves as a director and treasurer of DenverWorks, a non-profit focused on employment, purpose and self-sufficiency. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Hallinan holds an MS in accounting, a BS in finance, and minor in economics from the University of Colorado.
John D. Helson
Mr. Helson co-founded Kachi Partners in 2003, a private equity firm focusing on equity and debt investments to companies in the lower middle market serving as Managing Director during his time there. In 2008, he co-founded J2 Partners along with Mr. Jacobs, a private equity firm with a similar focus. Mr. Helson co-founded and served as CEO of Restream, a provider of reverse logistics and supply chain management services to the computer hardware industry, where he was nominated Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year. He currently serves as Chairman of Craig Energy, and The Genesee Group and director of Instrument Sales & Service. He is active in the community where he has served on non-profit boards. Mr. Helson holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley, an MSc from The London School of Economics and a MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University.
Mr. Jacobs co-founded J2 Partners in 2008 with Mr. Helson. Previously, he served as Special Partner at Kachi Partners, a private equity firm focusing in the lower middle market, where he continues to work to support portfolio companies at the board level and as mentor to senior executive management teams. Mr. Jacobs was a founding investor in Corporate Express, served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for developing and executing key elements of the firm’s strategy, including its successful IPO and negotiation of its 1999 merger for $2.3 billion with Buhrmann N.V. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board of the University of Colorado College of Engineering and on several non-profit and corporate boards. Mr. Jacobs holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
Mr. Perkins joined Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP in 2008. He previously practiced with Holland & Knight, Ballard Spahr and was an equity partner at Jacobs Chase. Mr. Perkins is licensed to practice in Florida and Colorado. Prio to law school, Matt was a Certified Public Accountant in the audit and tax groups of Deloitte Haskins & Sells’ Los Angeles office where he gained a strong background in financial accounting and tax matters. Mr. Perkins has acted as an arbitrator for business disputes and serves as an advisor to various boards of directors, entrepreneurs and investors. Mr. Perkins holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Denver and a JD from Boston University School of Law, graduating with honors.
